I know that you are facing many challenges in your life at this time and planning a wedding or not belonging to a church in our area may be in that list. In your search, you will run across many beach wedding web pages and a sea of information that can be more confusing therefore I am writing this letter to you to tell you a little bit about me. I am a Legally Ordained Minister according to the laws of the state of North Carolina and authorized by the church in which I am a member; to preform many religious services; weddings, baby blessings, funerals, all of those listed above and even to "Pastor" a church. Though my official title is Reverend, I don't feel compelled to use that title unless I am signing legal documents such as a marriage license. I believe that each person should have their own personal relationship with their higher power, not a religion that was chosen for them by their parents when they were children and I believe that there is a difference in you religion and your relationship with the almighty... Religion is a denomination (Baptist, Methodist, etc) to me its just another form of segregation, and we are segregated here on earth enough, I don't believe we are going to be segregated in the after life and I don't believe that when we reach the gates, good Ole St. Peter is going to be standing there and yelling. "Methodist to the left, Baptist to the right," "What denomination are you?" Lutheran; back of the line buddy. I also do not beleive that he is going to say "Now, all male ministers... go to the front of the line, female ministers... oh well, your outta luck. I believe he will say something like... We dont care who you are... Welcome home. Jesus is in the Garden, he's been waiting for you, go and join him. The bottom line is that you choose to be married and for society to recognize your marriage you need a signed piece of paper from an Ordained Minister, Judge, Magistrate or an Officiant. If you want someone that will cry with you, offer you a hankie, pray with you or not and help make your wedding day heartfelt, warm and memorable and if you want someone that will become a friend, dance with you at your wedding, (after all, I look at the water just like you... I don't walk on it.) I would welcome the opportunity to be that someone. Warmest Wishes, Renee Minister Fees start at $275.00 |
